Messages to Volunteers and Donors
Added Sep 17, 2009
Dear Extreme Volunteers and Donors,
Builders Commonwealth and the Huber family would like to thank everyone who worked on the Extreme Huber family residence for all their contributions. The house is an overwhelming success and the owners love it. Our extreme project is a green building that features energy conservation, renewable energy, recycled products and attention to waste management generated on site.
Everyone’s hard work has resulted in the project being selected as the 2-hour season premiere. The show will air Sunday, Sept. 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Each volunteer is invited to bring a guest to a private showing at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center Auditorium. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with a short “preshow” starting at 5:40 p.m. This is a private event intended for volunteers and donors and is not open to the general public.
Tickets will become available for pick up beginning Monday, September 21st at these three Extreme locations:
Whole Foods Co-op at 6th Ave. East and 4th Str. Duluth, MN
Builders Commonwealth at 517 Garfield Ave. Duluth, MN
The National Bank of Commerce at 1127 Tower Ave. Superior, WI
Note: There is a two ticket limit per volunteer at these locations. If you are with a company that requires larger amounts of tickets, you will need to have each interested party drop by one of the above locations to pick up their pair of tickets. Under no circumstances will tickets be given out in bulk. Two is the limit. We want to include as many actual volunteers as possible. Each location will have a sign-up sheet for those who would like additional tickets if they become available.
Due to seating limitations, we have a limited number of tickets available. If you find yourself unable to attend, please return your unused tickets to one of the above locations prior to the premier. Tickets will be required for entry to the DECC.
There were approximately 1400 volunteers who helped with the project and an extensive list of local companies. We look forward to sharing this celebratory event with you. We also realize that being selected as a season premier is a big honor for our communities and we want to thank everyone who made it possible.
Our local ABC affiliate, WDIO Channel 10/13 will be airing additional “behind the scenes” footage that same evening from 10:35-11:05 pm. This footage was compiled from the local station’s camera crews before, during and after the build. You’ll have to watch this one at home!
So thanks again for all your efforts and please join a few thousand of your new friends for a festive evening.
Sincerely,
Builders Commonwealth
P.S. Extreme Volunteer T-shirts meet all Premier Party dress codes. Hard hats are NOT required.
Visitors

The home has been built and the Hubers are living there now... please respect their privacy. It is OK to drive by and look at the fine work our community produced, but please refrain from knocking on their door and asking for a tour. Would you want strangers knocking on your door for a tour?
An EXTREME Thank You
